Growing & Blooming with every day in the Classroom!
Spring has arrived, and across Alamogordo Public Schools, our students continue to grow and bloom in so many ways. April is a busy and exciting month filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate. As the spring sports season continues, we encourage families and community members to come out and cheer on our Tigers at a game, match, or meet. Students are also preparing for spring testing and reflecting on the important progress they have made throughout the year. With our April Be Here Alamo message, “Be Here & Bloom,” we are reminded that every day of learning helps students continue to grow.
As we look ahead, registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens April 14 for all new and returning students, and out-of-zone requests are already underway. Families of our youngest learners are invited to join us for Pre-K & Kinder Roundup on April 24 at the APS Administration Complex to learn everything they need to know to help their child get ready for school. End-of-year events will be here before we know it, so be sure to check district and school calendars for important dates, as well as our website for the already approved 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 school calendars.
Finally, April is the Month of the Military Child, and we invite everyone to wear purple on April 24 for Purple Up Day as we honor and celebrate the strength and resilience of our military-connected students.
