Bio:
Ms. Lucero is currently serving as the assistant principal at Holloman Elementary School. Born in Mexico and a resident of Ruidoso, NM for the past 26 years where she has dedicated herself to shaping young minds and improving the educational system.

Ms. Lucero’s 16-year career in education has been marked by diverse roles and experiences, from elementary school teacher to instructional coach, grant coordinator, director of state and federal programs to principal, and now as an assistant principal.

Ms. Lucero holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from NMSU and a master's in educational leadership from Grand Canyon University. Currently, she's pursuing a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction at NMSU, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning.

Her influence extends beyond our district. Ms. Lucero serves on the board of directors for NMABE and co-chairs the Bilingual and Multicultural Education Advisory Council (BMEAC) at the state level for the NMPED.

As a mother of two, ages 17 and 19, Ms. Lucero finds continuous inspiration to serve students. Her mission is to provide quality and equitable opportunities for all students, a passion that drives her work every day.
